BOUNDLESS

In the series Boundless, I return to the playful spirit of my inner-child to explore the simple joys and endless excitement that once defined my safe, peaceful inner world. Using wax crayon on paper and embroidery floss on fabric, I tap into the nostalgia of those formative years when every mark made felt like an act of discovery. The crayons, with their bright, vivid colors, and the tactile nature of hand-stitching are more than materials to me—they are portals back to a time of uninhibited expression, when I could create without boundaries, free to explore and connect.
The child-like drawings of people and animals reflect this raw, joyous energy—unpolished, full of wonder, and always proud to show off. The floss stitches mirror the marks of the wax crayons, both leaving distinct impressions, both imbuing the work with a sense of joy and spontaneity. Each piece serves as a reminder of a time when life was simpler, when we could accept one another without judgment, and when every adventure was an opportunity to learn and grow together.
Through this work, the viewer is invited to reconnect with their own inner child. I want to spark the same excitement and pride that children feel when they share their art with the world. My hope is that these works will not only bring a smile to the viewer but also provoke a sense of nostalgia—a longing for the days when we were more open, more connected, and more willing to see the world through a lens of curiosity and acceptance.
In a world that often feels divided, I believe the essence of childhood can remind us of the beauty in simplicity, the power of joy, and the possibility of a more united and compassionate world.
